Help us coin new term for ‘banking’

In light of the recent decision by OSFI to ban Canadian credit unions from using the term ‘banking,’ CUmark and Luminus Financial are launching a nationwide search for a new way to describe the service formerly known as ***king.

Well this is ridiculous…

While it hasn’t really been a secret, the official news release just came out regarding changes to an OSFI regulation that now bans the use of the word “bank” (literally stated as “Bank Words”) from any financial institution that is not considered a traditional bank; including all variations of the word such as the verb “banking”.
